Life Lately

Fall is in full force around here.  We are in peak fall colors and fall weather around here in the Midwest.  These are the weeks that make me love living here.

There are a LOT of pics! Probably because I've been slacking on the blog lately and this is a good catch all post!

ANYWAYS.. Here we go.

We had grandparents day at the boys preschool! I'm so thankful for the grandparents in my kiddos lives.  They spend intentional time with them and it means a lot to both Nate & I, and our kids!

LOOK...

can we just talk about these pictures?!? They are SO GOOD! I never have anything on my fridge because the mess makes me crazy...but you better believe I put these up there :)

The boys find a way to talk me into buying pumpkins just about everywhere we go. I'm not a hard sell though :)  Also, Halloween jammie pics...how long will they oblige? haha.

We went downtown to celebrate First Friday of October.  Nate was gone, so I invited my sister and her family to come.  We had lots of fun!

We've been trying to get in as many zoo days as we can...

and we got great news that the hole in Maddox's heart is closed up! Praise the Lord!!

I love him.

So every year, my mother in law, sister in law, and I get together and make homemade applesauce.  The kids loved playing in the boxes-- some more than others. #crankykendryneededanap :) I love doing it every year and the smell of fresh applesauce is the BEST.

After Saturday morning soccer, we headed to Amazing Acres as a family.  We hit up all the fall things including a Tarzan swing, slides, tractor rides, bouncy balloon, hayride, pumpkin picking, etc.  We got their apple cider donuts, popcorn for the hayride, and other special fall treats.  Fall..we love you and all your delicious food!

We played and watched lots of soccer this fall. We've had beautiful weather for it and it's been fun to see Jacoby & Maddox cheer each other on!

Here's a real life picture! hahaha. I can't stop laughing at it. I'm going to save this for Jacoby's graduation picture because it's too good not to share.

Final games for these boys.  We are so proud of them!

We've tried to go on lots of walks around our neighborhood to soak in the beautiful weather and the prettiest trees.  Our new subdivision has the prettiest trees and we did a lot of leaf collecting!

Ever since we picked blueberries this summer, Jacoby asks me regularly to pick all kids of different fruits.  He told me he wanted to go banana picking and grape picking!? HA!  While we don't live in Napa Valley OR in South America... I asked him about apple picking instead and he was so excited!  So we visited Kercher's for a quick little bucket to put our apples in, while eating popcorn and drinking apple cider- Tis the season!!

See the joy???

This little one enjoyed picking up the apples and throwing them :)

Every year my sisters and I get together along with all of our kids and decorate Halloween cookies.  We bake the cookies ahead of time, and get all different kids of sprinkles and candy, and we help the little ones while letting the big kids go to town.  I don't eat many of the cookies because they usually have about 2 pounds of candy each on them haha, but the kids love it!

See all the candy?! Jacoby was making "mountains" 😂

We also made a quick day trip to Chicago.  We visited the park before the boys went to the Bears game and the girls held down the fort with all 6 boys :)

Just this past weekend was our downtown's trick or treat.

Us girls dressed as kitties. Because we're cool moms who dress up, but also like cheap & easy :)

When I first put this on him, he cried so hard! After a little while, Steph got this picture of Kendry and you can see his sweet little smile! I'm hoping for a really good picture on Halloween! Crossing my fingers he's cooperative :)

After meeting up with friends and getting our candy, we went out for the best pizza in the world (according to nate!). Can you tell who is the one feeling the least festive? #wheresyourcostumenate

Here's to the last few days of all things Halloween & fall.

You know what happens when Halloween is over, don't you?! It's officially the holiday seasonnnnnn

xox,

Naomi
