Cincinnati Weekend

A few weekends ago we headed out to Cincinnati for the Bengals vs. Bills Sunday night football game.

We left Saturday morning & got there in the afternoon. We played at the park, walked around the city, and then headed to eat dinner at a Incline Public House which had beautiful views of the city.

Pretty view, right?

Sunday we did some more exploring including walking the Purple People Bridge...

and exploring their well known Findlay Market...

Then we headed to dinner before the game. They were all so cute in their jerseys 😍

Maddox is a big Bengals fan & Jacoby is a big Bills fan. How? Well, when your parents root for the Chicago Bears & they're pretty terrible, it's hard to root for them. Jacoby loves Stefon Diggs and Maddox started rooting for the Bengals years ago because he liked their tiger helmets :)

It's not every day that your kids teams are good & playing against each other on a big stage like SNF! Kendry changes teams every week, and this week it was the Lions. He wanted to wear a jersey like his brothers and Jacoby offered him one, so apparently he was a Bills fan this night...but truthfully he was just there for the snacks :)

See? haha.

He was having the time of his life :)

The Bengals came out with the win -- and being the home team, it was super fun! The crowd was wild, the weather was perfect, and both kids got to see their favorite players play! Jacoby had a good attitude even though it wasn't the outcome he wanted. I think we need to take him to a home Bills game some day too.

We had the BEST time. We left the stadium around 11:45pm with tired but happy kids. It's a memory with my very favorite people that I will hold forever 💓

Fall Recap

WOO.... fall was a busy and good one!!! Fall always comes in hot with the craziness and this year was no exception. All 3 boys played soccer, so between the 3 teams there were a lot of practices & a lot of games. It's one of our very favorites to watch, and being outside is a bonus!

Thanks to another parent, we got one of Jacoby's goals on video!

& thanks to my nephew, we got some great pics of the boys & even a celebration after a goal for Maddox :)

I can't even handle his cuteness : )

We celebrated Jacoby turning 9!

Watched even more soccer at Notre Dame with this crew!

On a rainy night when soccer was cancelled, we did one of our very favorite things...
pizza & movie night!

The boys school had a fall fest which is one of their FAVORITE school events. Can you tell they were having fun???

We visited Amazing Acres...

painted pumpkins! This is Jacoby's "silly" face, he's not actually mad hahaha.

of course decorating Halloween cookies with grandma & the cousins...

& we even did some apple bobbing! 😀

My sisters & I went to a fun gala event and got to put on our fancy clothes :)

A big highlight for Maddox was having his classroom pet, Uncle Stink, stay with us for a weekend. My animal loving boy could not have enjoyed it more!!

& we celebrated Halloween in the SNOW! A fun but cold night to "end" fall and it really set the mood for the holiday season!!!

Halloween 2023

It's November 1st and it's taking everything in me to not rip down my fall decorations and put up all Christmas. It doesn't help that it looks like this outside my front door...

We trick or treated in THAT 😆 Midwest life!

It's always cold on Halloween and we've definitely had Halloweens with some snowflakes or rain. I don't remember this much snow before though--It went from snow to nothing to lots of snow that looked like a snow globe while we were hustling back home. There were still so many people trick or treating & TONS of people handing out candy! Here's a few pictures from our night.

Eevee, red Power Ranger, and Gengar. Year of the Pokemon for the big boys :)

Before we headed out!

I threw on some wings & a halo as an angel. I try to keep it simple but a little festive.

sisters :)

Kendry found one of his favorite friends. It was so windy & snowy, you could barely see, which is why Kendry is squinting like that

They had so much fun and didn't care about the snow!

I made festive mummy dogs and chili to warm up with after trick or treating :) Maddox LOVED this. It was so simple but fun. Maddox is wanting me to find a way to make them again in a Christmasy way. Challenge accepted!

Benny HATED his costume. He wore it for about 5 minutes and then I took it off. Poor thing is not into Halloween :)

After warm food, candy sorting, and my family left...the boys took showers &crashed hard. I took a hot shower to unthaw and called it an early night also.

I woke up to still so much snow, and so I'm feeling pretty festive over here!! Here's to the most wonderful time of the year 💓
