Friday Favorites: Beauty Products

Hooray for Friday!!! Linking up like usual with Erika and Andrea! I'm super pumped for this weekend because it might include a 30th birthday party for my one & only ;)

Today I'm listing a couple of my FAVORITE beauty products.  I love makeup, but I'm a simple girl when it comes to using it on the daily. I try new products often, but am often wanting more...which I suppose is why I try even more products :) haha. Recently, I tried a few new ones and I have been pleasantly surprised, along with some of my tried & true favorites.

So here we go...

1. Neutrogena Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup: I love this foundation.  I've been using it for about 4 years and I'm not sure I'll ever switch.  I actually tried a different foundation about 2 years ago, but after finishing the bottle- I went straight back to this {cheaper} Neutrogena makeup.  It has really helped keep my skin clear, it goes on smooth and it has 20 SPF in it :) I have sensitive eyes, so I have to be pretty careful about what I put on my face and around my eyes.  This makeup hasn't bothered my eyes at all, unlike some others I have tried.

It didn't make the picture, but I also love Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder.  It also helps with my skin and I like that it makes my skin feel soft and smooth, and also gives it a finished look.

2. Maybelline Volum' Express Colossal Pumped Up! Mascara: I am basically a die-hard Maybelline mascara fan.  I have used a couple different types of their mascaras and although I love every single one, this is by far my FAVORITE.  I tend to try every new one they come out with, but this one stands out as the winner for me.  I love that it easily gives BOTH length & volume.  I like to buy cheap mascara because I think it works the best, and I use so much of it, that I go through it quickly.  So, to save some cash money {which my husband is super thankful for...}, I buy cheap but fantastic mascara! :)

3. Mary Kay Time Wise Repair Day & Night Cream: I use both the day and the night cream.  The night cream has retinol and the day cream has SPF 30.  Ya'll-- SPF is crucial :) I've never been a big tanner, but I have a firm belief that SPF is what helps you look younger for a loonnngggg time! I actually used to be semi-selfconscious about my two wrinkles in between my eyebrows.  About 3 years ago I started to freak out, thinking that I'm only 25 years old & am getting wrinkles already!!! haha...please tell me I'm not the only one??? After going through TONS of different lotions and creams, I started using this solely because my mother-in-law gave it to me and it was in my cabinet when I ran out of my others.  I really liked the way it felt going on, so I thought I'd give it a few weeks until I was disappointed, like the others I have tried.  But I LOVE it. I have noticed a huge difference in my wrinkles {IF Nate is reading this, I can guarantee you that he is rolling his eyes at the moment because I'm sure he's thinking "you never had wrinkles Naomi"...hahaha, love you babe!}.

4. Maybelline Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner in black:   No need to go into detail about this one.  It's the best eyeliner out there.  It goes on super smooth, you don't have to sharpen it, it doesn't break, and gives a really clean + simple line.  I love that it can go on really thin for an everyday look, or thicker for a more "date night" feel!

5. MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance Base Lumiere: I bought this primer years ago and am still using the same bottle...a little goes a long way! I put just a little bit on, focusing mainly on the places that I feel my makeup gets "creasy"/has problems staying on and I can certainly tell a difference if I use the primer or not.

I'm a huge fan of Vaseline Lip Therapy and apply it more times in a day than I'd like to admit :) I've used multiple kinds of lip glosses and lipsticks but I mix it up quite often.

I like Victoria's Secret lipgloss and usually put it on top of some Maybelline lipstick {pictured above} that I threw in my cart at Target, because who doesn't pick up extra items at Target? {...I dare you to tell me you don't...}

The one product I'm really struggling to find a FAVORITE of?

Blush.

I love blush, but to be real? I'm cheap. I'm going to be on the hunt to find an "orangey/pink" for fall but don't know where to start!

So help a girl out & let me know your suggestions!

Happy weekend...hope you enjoy this beautiful summer weather!

xox,

Naomi
