1. I'm not a reader.
2. I wish I was.
3. I know it makes you smarter. {who couldn't use some more intelligence...besides Nate ;) }
4. I know it's good for you.
5. I know you'll say I just have to find the right type of book. I've tried.
6. Want to know a secret of mine? I only got through 1/2 of the first Harry Potter book and couldn't finish it (gasp!). Never read any of the other ones (sshhh!) Go ahead and judge me if you must! :)
I generally just have a hard time getting "lost" in a book.
Then THIS book came up with many blogger recommendations...
Melanie is the author of Big Mama blog too, and since I generally laugh at her ramblings of motherhood, why not try her book too, right? haha :)
So I put it on my Christmas list. My mom got it for me, and I was very happy but then thought to myself...but now I have to read it. haha! It sat on my nightstand for
I couldn't put it down. I read it every night.
every.single.night.
I'm also pretty sure that I've never read through a book so quickly.
A book of real life stories that perfectly explain marriage. I love how real and honest she is. It makes the book THAT much better...and made me laugh 10x harder. I think every night that I read it, I laughed till I cried. I had to read multiple stories from the book to Nate because I couldn't believe how much I loved it.
It was funny yet wise, silly but honest,
and spoke lots of truth about marriage. If every book would be like this
...I would read a heck of a lot more.
Here is one of my favorite excerpts from the book:

On this Friday...I pray that you are the soft place to land for your husband & that you'll take my advice to read this book. Get on it ;) Happy Friday!
