Wonderfully Vanilla: 9 Month Update

9 MONTHS

Your Favorites: mommy & daddy, Benny, music (T. Swift-- aka Tay Tay-- is still your #1 haha), bath time, kids/babies, dogs, being tickled, looking in the mirror & playing peek-a-boo

Your Not-So Favorites: getting dressed, being in your car seat or stroller for long periods of time.

Eat:

You love to eat. I have only fed you one thing that you hated & it was a weird combination of 3 things that was in a food pouch that I bought. Once you refused to eat it, both your daddy & I tried it & it was awful. Sorry for making you try that ;)

You eat allll veggies and love them! You also eat cheerios, puffs, bananas, small pieces of turkey, sweet potato bites & mashed potatoes. You LOVE mashed potatoes, haha :)

You love to feed yourself and so we are trying to get creative with little pieces of table food we can give you. You'll still eat purees, but you much prefer to feed yourself.

We are still staying away from most fruits, but bananas & watermelon you gobble right up. I really hope you grow out of this whole fruit thing soon, because there's so much more to explore!

You still take your bottle of formula easily & are pretty proud of yourself when you hold it yourself. You feed yourself with the bottle most of the time, until it gets down to the bottom when you can't tip it quite far enough!

Sleep:

We have made major leaps this past month. I was looking at the 8 month post and you were sleeping from 10pm-5/6am. Now you go down around 10pm and usually get up around 9am. 11 hours straight...that's my boy!

You still have some random nights where you wake up around 6 to eat, but then go back down till 9...but those are few & far between. I am so proud of the sleeper you have become because when you were 5 months old & sleeping terribly, I basically prepared myself to never ever get sleep again. So thank you :)

Personality:

I cannot believe how incredibly fun you are. Goodness my sweet boy. You & I were at lunch with Hannah today and she said "he is so funny Naomi, he gets funnier every time I see him"....haha! It's the TRUTH!

Your daddy & I were reminiscing about how quickly these past 9 months have gone. I have officially started to think about your birthday party. Not because I'm ready for it. But solely because my Type A personality requires me to plan ahead :)

You LOVE being tickled and think it's the funniest thing.

You also love watching Benny sprint around the house when he is playing with you.

Babies and kids fascinate you. Like turn-around-in-your-highchair-to-stare-for-5-minutes-straight fascinate.

You aren't shy in the least and do really well being passed around from person to person. You get A LOT of attention and you're perfectly fine with that. In fact, you love it & most of the time put on a show. They say at 9 months, some kids start to show "stranger danger", and you're not that baby {...yet, anyway}. Although you go to most people and enjoy attention, if momma is in the room--you know where she is. You keep an eye on me, and follow me around ALL over the house. I love it!

Speaking of following me, you started crawling 2 days after I posted your 8 month update! ha. You were struggling one day with figuring out how to move your hands, and then the day you got it--you took OFF!

You are a speed crawler too...particularly if you see something you really want, like Benny's water bowl. Not only are you crawling everywhere, but you are also pulling yourself up on everything & even standing up for 10 seconds on your own. Your Cici said you'll be walking by the time you're 10 months. So we will see if she's right!
