Spring Break 2022

For spring break, we decided to drive down to Destin, FL. We did Myrtle Beach last year and thought the drive went smoothly and after our flying drama over fall break, I decided that driving would be easier. We hit tons of traffic both down & back, so I'm not sure it was "easier", but we made it and have so many memories from our trip. 

After a long drive down to Florida, we made it!!! The boys honestly do great in the car but the traffic going down (and coming home) was INSANE. All of us northerners trying to get to the sunshine state!

Our condo had a view of the bay, and then right around the corner was the pool & lazy river, then across the bridge was the beach! The bay was super peaceful every morning and night :)

Honestly, we kept it super chill and pretty much hit up the beach and/or pool every single day. It was just what we needed! 

Fresh air, sunshine, and lots of time together.

We went to a burger joint that had robots bring out your food and the kids thought it was hilarious! Then we ordered milkshakes that were topped with all kinds of candy, including this lollipop! 💓

I kindly asked my family for some pics...so we dressed up a little, went to the beach, snapped some pictures, and then grabbed dinner at a restaurant on the beach! 

It was a good spring break filled with lots of relaxing & spending time together as our little family of 5. The slow mornings, soaking in the sunshine, playing in the pool, burying each other on the beach, football on the beach, jumping waves, hot tubbing, afternoon naps, dinners overlooking the ocean, and watching New Girl with Nate after the kids went to bed. Committing these moments to my memories forever 💓

We got home on Saturday night at about 12:45am, dropped the kids in bed, and crashed into bed ourselves. Thankfully we had a full day Sunday to unpack and organize ourselves before school and the start of spring soccer! After spring break, it's all kind of busy isn't it? So many school things, activities, prepping for summer camps, vacations, etc.. there's lots of FUN coming up! This school year is flying and the kids are counting down the day to summer!!!
