Halloween 2021

 Halloween 2021 was SO good!!! 

We started talking about costumes in September and they all had random ideas of what they wanted to be. I tried to convince them how cool a "family costume" would be. I know I don't have many more years before they're too cool to dress up with mom & dad...so I tried to make it happen this year. After some arguing about WHAT we should be, we finally agreed on the Ninja Turtles. 

I went online to buy the costumes...and they were all sold out. Like everywhere. And I needed 5 different sizes, so it felt impossible. I looked on Pinterest and thought I could make them. I'm super non-crafty and making things is usually not my jam, but after all of the convincing, I was determined to make it happen. 

If you're a perfectionist, I'm sure you'll see lots of mistakes but they came together pretty good I think!!! I actually thought when we were all together, they ended up way cuter than I expected. I set the bar pretty low haha!! The yellow pieces were falling off of Maddox all night, the colored ties were falling off of everyone as they ran, but other than that it worked out! It was SO much fun doing it all as a family. Technically there's only 4 ninja turtles, but I'm the extra :) Nate wanted me to be April, but I just wanted to make it as simple as possible for myself! 

Maybe next year we can do something again... but I'll take it as a win that I at least got one year of us all matching together!!

We had such a fun Halloween trick or treating with friends & family! My kids got SO much candy, and they all are big enough to basically do it themselves, while we hung back & sipped on our adult drinks! haha. Poor Kendry was sprinting to keep up with the big kids, but he did a great job!!!

Now I'm ready for the holiday season... I'll probably be decorating my house this week because it makes me HAPPY 😊
