Maddox is 5!

I'm not sure how we got from here...

to here...

so FAST, but we did! Our sweet Maddox is 5 and I can hardly believe it! Last year we celebrated in lockdown, so I wanted to make sure we were able to celebrate properly this year. Maddox's school had a built in snow day, so we got to spend the whole day together which felt really special.  We started out with donuts, met up some friends, had lunch with daddy, played outside, and then we had pizza at the bowling alley, where we did mini bowling & the arcade. We headed home and ate some of this watermelon cake with fake ants on it, that he thought was the COOLEST!  Sounds like a pretty great day, right?? :)

To my sweetest Maddox,

5 years old!!! You are so happy to be 5 because you can now drink pop (our household rule haha). You have the sweetest soul- you are friends with everyone, physical touch is your love language and you tell me "you're my sweetest mommy" just about every day. You are silly (so silly!), confident, always yourself, the biggest pet lover, and the one who I can always count on snuggles from.  I pray that you are always yourself, that you learn to love Jesus deeply, and that you know I'm forever in your corner. I love you always, Maddox Eric... HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY!!!
