7 MONTHS
Your Favorites: Momma & Daddy, all dogs-but Benny is your absolute favorite, music {Taylor Swift in particular}, singing silly songs, naps in your crib, bath time, being naked, anyone who is willing to be silly to make you laugh, straws/cups/bottles/cans & giving {the sweetest} kisses.Your Not-So-Favorites: getting dressed, getting out of the bathtub, going in your car seat & being in your car seat for too long
Eat:
You've really enjoyed eating this month! It's so much fun to watch you try new foods. You eat a lot more than I would have expected, but yet somehow you are still so tiny. You've got the cutest little Buddha belly when you're full though :) So far, you've had:
Avocado
Sweet Potatoes
Peas
Carrots
Pears (slight allergic reaction so we are waiting to re-introduce in a few weeks)
Apples (same as pears)
Pumpkin
Banana
You caught on quick to eating & eat a good 4 oz. of food at each feeding. We feed you lunch & dinner right now & that seems to work well. You still are breastfed besides the solid foods...we haven't figured out our plan for switching to formula just yet, so we are happy with where we are at for the time being.
Since you are sitting up & eating in a high chair, it makes it a whole lot easier for us to go out to eat & even eating at home is much more relaxing & enjoyable.
Sleep:
You've gotten into a really good groove sleep-wise. We generally put you down around 10pm, you sleep till around 6am, so a good 7.5-8 hours straight. I feed you when you wake up and then you go back down till around 9am. I'm so happy that you're sleeping much better. You have also been taking about a 45-1 hr nap in the morning (improvement from 30 minutes about a month ago) and then about 2 hr nap in the afternoon. I credit your better sleeping habits to having solids in your tummy & us working on letting you cry it out some. Your tummy is much fuller when you go down for your afternoon nap & at night, so it's really helped you sleep well! :) yayyyy. Even though I think it's helped you sleep, I am still glad we waited until 6 months to start you on foods. I think it was the best move for all of us.
Personality:
You get in these moods where you just blabber non-stop. You definitely know what you're saying, but I have no idea. haha :)
One of my favorite things about this stage is that I see your personality and independence grow daily, but you still love to snuggle. I know the days that you cuddle with me willingly are numbered, so I make sure to make the most of those times!
Some days I just watch you and can't believe that you're the little tiny boy that was in my belly just 7 months ago! Time flies... I know I know...it's cliche, but it's so true!
The love I have for you, little one, is deeper than I can explain. I am that mom...the one that talks about her baby all the time, takes 1 million pictures of you and then posts them, and constantly beams with pride for you.
I pray some day you get to experience being a parent. I can't imagine anything better!
Oh, side note: You're SO close to crawling! You get up on all fours but then aren't quite sure what to do! It's time for momma & daddy to babyproof :)
You're loved beyond words sweet Jacoby!
xox,
Naomi
