4 Month Update

...and just like that, we're 1/3 of the way to a year!

:: You weigh 13 lbs (20th percentile). You're slowly moving up. People have recently been commenting on how they can see you getting a little chunkier-- but don't worry, they mean it in the nicest way possible!

::Your head circumference is 41cm (24th percentile)

:: Your height is 24 1/4" (45th percentile). This is a huge growth...you've been on the shorter side, thanks to momma & daddy's short legs, but you're growing and it looks like height wise you are very average :)

::Your playmat is still a big favorite of yours.  You like to tell your octopus and lobster all about your day. They're the best listeners ;)

::We also have a light-up rattle that you seem pretty fascinated with. Can't blame you though, I was too when I first checked it out!

::You love your momma the most, and when I come home from work your face lights up.  It is literally the best feeling I've ever had...knowing that you know me and want me above all. {Just a side note: I've realized that this is probably how Christ feels when we want him above all. He must get so much joy out of that.} Also, you think I'm hilarious...see video above for proof :)

::Your daddy is definitely your {2nd} favorite, and I can see your adoration for him growing deeper every day.  His favorite time with you is right before your bath.  No matter how fussy you are, when he gets you undressed, you smile the biggest smiles, blabber like there's no tomorrow, and giggle back and forth with your daddy.  Hearing you 2 playing in the nursery is one of my favorite sounds ever. I could listen to it forever.  It's when I hear those sounds that I know God is so so good. I know right then, that these exact moments are where I'm meant to be.  I'm not sure there's a better feeling.

::You still tend to be on the more serious side, but you'll smile and laugh if someone works hard enough.  Let's just say you don't give away smiles for FREE...but that's ok, they're totally worth the effort to get one!

::Another thing about that smile of yours? You crack me up when you do it because 95% of the time, you shy away when you smile, as if you're b a s h f u l or something :) It's one of the little things you do, that just completely melts me. Your one little dimple on your right cheek is like the cherry on top.

::This month I've had a lot of people compliment you on your big, bright eyes and how alert you are.  It's so true! You love to be held looking out at people.  You could people-watch all day {finally- something you get from your momma! haha}

::You rolled over this month from your belly to your back and it was so much fun to watch you discover that.  You're still working on back to belly, but I don't think you're too far away.

::Blowing bubbles and drooling have become constants, so has your attempts at putting your entire fist in your mouth :)

::You have become a "grabby" baby.  You grab anything that is put in front of you, from momma's face to rattles, stuffed animals, straws {daddy's doing...haha), or even Benny's sweet face.  You love to grab, shake, and give kisses to it all.

::You're not the best sleeper, but you're not the worst either. It's a work in progress, and we'll get there.  I'm sure SOME DAY you'll love a nap, riiiiight?

You're the best thing that's happened to your daddy & I. Thank you for being the light of our lives.  We have prayed for you every night-- praying for your health, your life, your future, and what you're going to do for the kingdom of God.  I don't wish any day away...but watching you grow is the best job ever.
