2014 Goals-- Success or No?

So how did I do on my "goals for 2014"?

Let's see...

1. Start a women's bible study group at my house
Done & done. Started a bible study, but to be completely honest...it didn't last as long as I had hoped, and I felt like not everyone was in it 100%.  Although I feel like it failed, I know that I did something that was stepping out of my comfort zone & also worked on my relationship with Christ.  For that, I call it a win.

2. Read 2 new books.
Yikes. I read "What to Expect When Expecting" haha :) Other than that, this totally didn't happen. I'm just not a reader. Maybe this year I'll make it "read more, even if it's only magazines" haha :)

3. Volunteer somewhere on a semi-regular basis
This also didn't happen. I blame part of this on finding out in February that I was pregnant. I felt like I used a lot of my "extra time" getting ready for Jacoby to be here.  So it didn't happen, but I"m not beating myself up--that's part of life!

4. Make 1 new dessert a month
Done {I haven't done December yet...but I will tonight!}  This seemed super simple when I came up with it, but I actually found myself struggling with this the most.  I love making new desserts, and I do try new ones often, but I always found myself forgetting to take pictures, or not posting them for a month or 2.  However, I think I did every month but 1...I'll take it as a win as well!

5. Send more snail mail
Big time success on this one! I sent more cards, thank-yous, etc this year! Also...we sent out family Christmas cards for the first time this year, so that bumps this goal up as well!

Although I  t r u l y  only completed 3 of my 5 goals for 2014, I became a momma. That should count for like 15 goals, am I right? It's been a dream since I was a little girl.  2014, you've been beyond good to me! Thank you Lord, for an incredible year that I NEVER saw coming!

So tell me...how did you do on your resolutions/goals for 2014? Anything you're wanting to carry over and try again for 2015? You won't be the only one using recycled resolutions, I can assure you of that!

Wishing all of you a safe & happy New Year!

2*0*1*5, I'm ready for you!

xox,

Naomi
