Favorites for Jacoby

I thought I would post a few of my favorite things that I have used these past {almost} 6 weeks with Coby.  Maybe it'll help some new momma or momma-to-be, or perhaps it'll remind me when baby #2 is here some day :)

Favorite #1:
Playmat:: I thought maybe I should have something that he could lay on and have something to look at--Mama win on that thought! I put together his playmat and he instantly loved it.  He is on there multiple times a day, just staring at the toys hanging, talking to himself, and kicking like crazy. It's the cutest! I love that he is awake much more often now and so he can engage in fun things like this!

Favorite #2:

Rock n Play:: This is what Coby has slept in since day 1.  I love that it has him on his back, but at an incline.  Gives this mama a piece of mind that if he were to spit up, he could get it out and not choke on it.  Plus it vibrates, gives me the option to rock him, and it's super cozy.  It took him a little to get used to it (naturally), but now he loves it and sleeps well in it.

Favorite #3:

Wubbanub:: I am pretty sure every mama has this on her list of favorites.  Coby's wubbanub is a puppy (because we are dog lovers in this house).  I love that it makes it's easier to find around the house if it is misplaced.  It's always WAY easier to find if he loses it in the middle of the night.  Besides just being harder to lose and easier to find, Coby loves his little puppy.  He holds onto it, and not only is that the cutest thing ever, but it also helps the pacifier stay in his mouth better {his paci still falls out all the time...#mamalife}

Favorite #4:

Nick Lachey's "A Father's Lullaby" Album:: So I have to admit that I love Nick Lachey's voice.  I'm a child of the 90's, can you blame me? This album is really soothing and quiet and Coby loves it.  I never thought it would matter what type of music I played him this young, but if he is crying in the car, I can put on his lullabies {this album is the only "lullabies" I have} and he quiets down and falls asleep pretty quickly.  I'm impressed.  I figure if I have to listen to lullabies while driving, the person singing them better have a great voice.  Warning: Don't listen to this as you drive at night, there's a high chance you'll fall asleep too :)

Favorite #5:

Cuddle Time Blanket:: AKA World's Softest Blanket.  I got this blanket at Meijer after eyeing it for a couple months (seriously, months).  Best decision to buy it!  It's super soft and fluffy on one side and the other side is a soft & silky.  I use this blanket in the carseat because it's a great weight, not too heavy and not too light.  It keeps him cozy due to the chilly fall (and very cold upcoming winter), but it's not so heavy to make him overheat and feel claustrophobic...if babies ever feel claustrophobic :)

Just a few favorites as of now.  I'm sure in a few weeks or months, my favorites will change drastically :)

xox,

Naomi
