My big boy is 8! Why does 8 feel so big?!?
8 is a really wild thing. It feels like an in-between of little kid and big kid!
He spent the day at school with friends, got to play some football & soccer in the afternoon, and then in the evening his school had a fall festival that we went to with one of his favorite buddies where he saw more friends, had Kona ice, played fall games, tug of war, etc. It was a busy and fun day.
The next day started off with me being the special reader for his class. I love being able to go into the school and see my boys!
Then he had a field trip to Amazing Acres with all of 2nd grade. It was so fun to see all of his friends together!
That evening for his party, he said he just wanted to play football, soccer & have a place to run around. So that's exactly what we did. Pizza & a place to run around...boys parties are so easy :) haha.
Jacoby...
You are always playing a game or sport, reading all the silly chapter books, learning to be independent, loving your friends, & are truly one of my favorite humans. You hold yourself & everyone else to be the best, you love trying new things & handle new places/situations so well, you are smarter than I think you should be ;), more competitive than anyone I know, quick to forgive, & you will forever have one of my favorite laughs!!! Being your mom & the first in line to watch you grow is one of my greatest blessings. I LOVE you...happy 8th birthday!!
xox,
Mom
