County Fair 2019!

Oh the Elkhart County 4H Fair. 

It's a big thing around here... so we do it every year.  I don't think it's Nate's favorite summer activity, but I LOVE it.  

Last year was a MESS with screaming kids in the car while trying to park in the madness & we also left with screaming kids.

This year was better! 

We made a pact after last year that we would not go on free day (too much traffic + just too much chaos).So we went on an evening in the middle of the week and it was perfect.

We visited all the animals (cows, pigs, goats, sheep, etc) but the pigs were definitely my kids favorite.

They had the coolest little set up for kids to drive tractors.  They drove around the field/farm and picked up all the veggies, then took them to the stand to sort.  It was a huge hit :) 

We ate all the good food...

and the kids rode lots of rides.  

The carousel is Kendry's very favorite. 

then he cried so hard when he had to get off. This pic was from right when he was realizing the ride was done and he had to get off. His little world was crushed.

We ended the night getting these.

Not the wisest money we've ever spent. 

We are THOSE parents. 

We looked ridiculous leaving the fair with these in tow. 

But do you see those smiles? 

Now we just have to make sure we let them know this is not a yearly tradition :) 

Also...you can tell we were busy because we didn't even get a full family picture or one of the 3 boys. Maybe next year :) 

He's my favorite person. Even when we blow money on alien & hammer blow ups... 

we're living the dream, baby.
