Jacoby's First Day of Preschool 2018

It's a weird thing when your first baby has their first day of preschool.
It's a big step in life, especially for a stay at home mom.  I've always been with Jacoby, he's been by sidekick for almost 4 years, and it's weird to think he'll spend some of his days with someone else's teaching and influence.  It's a beautiful thing, but it's also an adjustment.

Just look at his face of pure excitement 😃

Anyone who knows Jacoby knows his full-of-life personality and it serves him well in transitions like this one.  He had NO fears and was so excited, and in turn it made me feel a lot less emotional.  To see him ready to take on preschool with all the confidence and excitement in the world, it reminded me that he is ready!  He is ready to make new friends, learn, and most of all...he's so excited to feel independent and like a "big kid".

Side Note: I forgot to get a picture of him and I, so I put in the one from the night before at the Ice Cream Social where he got to see his classroom and teachers.

He gave us a hug, smiled and said "bye!" and walked in without looking back.

I have all these hopes and prayers for Jacoby. But on the first day of preschool, this was my prayer:

I pray he is always confident in who he is and that he is always excited to learn and do new things.

I love you Jacoby, you were meant for amazing things!

Now it's just the middle + little with me for part of my days! Maddox told me he "miss Coby" but his smile says "I don't hate this" 😋

xox,

Naomi
