1 Month Update {Kendry}

I sound like every mom when I say "where does the time go?" but seriously...

here we are, ONE MONTH.

I am just soaking IN this precious newborn time.  Knowing that Kendry is our last baby, it is really making me appreciate all the little and beautiful things about this stage.

Here's a few little things about our sweetest little Kendry Joshua.

...He's our little peanut.  At his 3 week check up, he weight 6 lbs. 2.8 oz and got an A+ from the pediatrician for weight gain! {He was 5 lbs. 4 oz. when we left the hospital}

...He is by far the most content and relaxed baby we have had.

...He will just lay quietly when we do tummy time.

...He doesn't mind the car one bit.  By the way, this is huge.

...Wanna know what else is huge? The fact that he takes a pacifier. Actually, he loves a pacifier!

...He sleeps through anything, including all the rowdy noises that his older brothers make.

...He wakes every 3-4 hours at night to eat, but goes back to sleep right away.

...unless he has gas issues.  At night, I give him gas drops before every feeding and they have helped A TON.

...He isn't phased by much at.all.  He is smothered by his brothers constantly and doesn't make a peep, we dipped his feet in the pool and he didn't flinch.  You can pick him up while he's sleeping and transfer him between different people and he'll sleep through it all.

...He does well with nursing.  Nurses every 3 hours and is done in about 20-25 min.  He spits up only a little bit, but gets the hiccup after almost every feeding.

...He's finally started to have more awake time in the past few days and is usually awake for a good hour late in the morning and late in the evening.

...His nicknames are punkie and sweet pea... because he's seriously the sweetest thing.

...He is still in preemie clothes but has outgrown preemie diapers and is now in newborn diapers.

Oh Kendry.
How sweet it is to be your mama.  The one who snuggles you in the middle of the night, loves you always, comforts you when needed, and the one who gets to soak in every bit of this beautiful stage.  Although I'm so tired, I still find myself wanting to press "pause" on this phase.  It's such a precious time that goes by so quickly.  I told your daddy the other day that I see why people "baby" the last baby in the family because you truly want to keep them little for longer!  Maybe because I look at your brothers and see how quickly it goes?  I love this stage, but also look forward to seeing you grow into who you are made to be.  It's going to be such a fun ride. My prayer for you is that you always know how truly special you are and that you never question daddy & I's love and support for you.  We are forever in your corner.  To my sweet, content and easiest baby (so far 😉)... thank you for all the love you have added to our family!  We are all smitten with you.

Naomi
