2 Month Update

2 months & growing like c r a z y! 

:: You weigh around 10 lbs (I'll get official weight & length at 2 month appointment on Wednesday & will update it then!)

:: You are wearing 0-3 month clothes, but they still tend to be big on you.  Mainly the pants are big {you're finally fitting into newborn pants, woohoo!} You must have gotten your mommy's short legs (poor boy).  It's still exciting to see you grow into clothes that used to be big on you.  Your daddy says he got a little sad when we put on a newborn outfit the other day and it was a little too small on you... you're growing up already *tear*

:: You LOVE your playmat {Benny loves your playmat & you}! After you eat, we put you on your playmate and you stare at your little purple octopus {he's your favorite}, and the other animals hanging and you just have a grand time.  You talk to yourself with lots of oohs & ahhs, coo, and kick & flail your arms like crazy.  Your daddy & I just get down on the floor with you and watch you...& repeatedly say "gosh you're the cutest" :)

:: In the past 2 weeks, you have changed drastically. You have so much more "wake time" and you love to sit up when someone is holding you & look out & all around you, taking everyone and everything in.  You like to stare--- but I don't think anyone minds your beautiful face staring them down.  Some day we'll teach you that it's not always polite to stare ;)

:: You love to smile and the best way to get you to smile is by someone playing with your lips.  Also, your papa can get you to smile pretty quickly by making you "ride your bike".  He makes your legs go round and round and it slowly gets faster and faster.  Your eyes are always really big when he does it, but so is your smile. I can already tell you're going to have a special relationship with him.

:: You still love your mommy, especially when you are tired & just want to be cuddled...I'll always cherish those moments :)

:: You L O V E your car seat. Seriously. Over Thanksgiving weekend, there were 2 nights where we come home later than usual and you were sleeping in your car seat.  Instead of taking you out & doing our nightly routine, we decided to just let you sleep.  The first night you slept for 8 hours straight. The next night? 7 hours straight.  After this, we have seriously contemplated always putting you to sleep in your car seat every night (but haven't!). I'm SO glad you love your car seat, it makes running errands with your momma go smooth {almost} every time.

Your daddy & I are completely smitten with you, cute one.  You have stolen our hearts and it's the best feeling in the world! I send a picture to your daddy every day while he is at work & he says you get cuter every time he sees you...and I couldn't agree more!
