Friday night was full of baseball & friends. We went to the Silverhawks game with Jared, Steph, Adam & Ali, and it was SO fun. Perfect night for baseball, pizza, beer {not me}, and fireworks after the game! Nothing says summer like an evening baseball game with friends.
Saturday began with sleeping in. I woke up to Nate bringing me donuts in bed {yes, he's that wonderful}, and then we watched some of The Notebook on tv while we ate. Talk about your perfect Saturday morning! :) Then we relaxed around the house a little, ran a few errands, and then it was time for me to get ready for my sweet friend, Danielle's, bachelorette party. We started out with just a few munchies and gifts at Monica's house, and then proceeded to carpool to Cowboy Up, a line dancing bar in Michigan. I had heard a lot about Cowboy Up, but this was my first time going. I was so excited :)
They "teach" you line dancing about every hour for a few hours in the evening, but of course the one we got on the dance floor for was "not for beginners" per the instructor. We decided we would try it anyway. There were lots of people on the dance floor, but in our group we had about 8-9 girls at the beginning of the song, and about 1/2 way through I realized there were only 4 of us girls leftover. The others gave up…but not this preggo lady :) After the dance got over, we went to join the others and Steph told me that at one point the 4 of us girls were all turned different ways-- so I suppose we weren't the best ones out there, but it was fun anyway!

We ended up dancing to another song or two, ate some food, talked, laughed, & of course there were lots of drinks. Coke was my drink of choice for the night! Jacoby did do some dancing throughout the night, so I am afraid that it's really true that he likes country music…and Nate will just have to deal with it :) It could be worse!

Sunday we went to church, ran a few more errands, grabbed some lunch & came home to watch some of the World Cup games. Nate is a huge soccer fan, and this World Cup stuff is heaven for him! Sunday evening we had my family over for a big cookout to celebrate Nate (my brother) and Matt (my brother-in-law)'s bday. Not gonna lie…Nate did some work on the grill, and the food was dynamite. Nothing like ending a fun weekend with family.
I love weekends…they're always such a breath of fresh air! Spending time with my sweets and family and friends is where it's at.
I'm already looking forward to this coming weekend, for multiple reasons that you'll just have to wait for :)
xox,
Naomi
