Resolution of Resolutions

I have never been into resolutions when a new year starts.  Perhaps it was because I couldn't think of something "big" that I wanted to tackle….OR perhaps I was afraid I wouldn't accomplish it & then I would be disappointed in myself??

No more excuses, Naomi. There is on reason why I can't set new goals or hopes for my new year. They don't have to be "big" and they don't have to be this lofty goal that I am afraid I'll never achieve.

I made the resolution to make resolutions.

I decided to make my resolutions be ones of new adventures & attempts at trying new things {whether I fail or succeed}

1. Start a women's bible study group at my house
    it's good to have a fellowship of believers that encourage one another

2. Read 2 new books.
    this may sound simple, but for someone who doesn't enjoy reading, it's a challenge

3. Volunteer somewhere on a semi-regular basis
    there are so many great places that can use my help

4. Make 1 new dessert a month
    & then blog about it…I love trying new recipes and this will encourage me to do so.

5. Send more snail mail
    because who doesn't love getting snail mail amongst all the junk mail & bills? :)

Here's to finally making some New Year's Resolutions…

xox,

  1. Great resolutions, Naomi. :) All are achievable and within reach. And I love the snail mail idea because you're right! Who doesn't love to get something OTHER than bills and junk in the mailbox?! And I'm still waiting to see a dessert recipe pop up on here. ;) Love you girl!
