We had such a great weekend celebrating our guy. With two little boys to raise, we have the best role model in Nate. Thanking my lucky stars that our boys have him to look up to, learn from + be loved
by every day.
We started the day off with breakfast. I love to cook and bake, unless it's breakfast. I'm not a morning person and prefer to roll out of bed and eat a granola bar or a bowl of cereal. BUT on Father's Day, Nate gets a fresh homemade breakfast. Because HE loves it :)
After breakfast, I had Nate take Jacoby out for some one on one time. He decided to take him to his work to look at all the big trucks. Jacoby still talks about it. Then he took Maddox to the park for some one on one time as well.
Sometimes it's hard to get one on one time and I think it's super important for each of our relationship with the boys. So I wanted to focus on that.
After they came back, everyone napped and then we went out to dinner together and then had an evening together celebrating the wonderful daddy Nate is.
We gave presents...minus the candy that we gave him on Friday night because Jacoby gave away our secret! hahahahah 2 year olds! We were at dinner on Friday night and Jacoby said "daddy, can I have some of your candy at home?" Nate said "What candy?" and I said "Jacoby...I THINK you're ruining part of the surprise" ;) hahaha. Nate just laughed and said "of course I'll share my candy".
Happy Father's Day Nate. I hope you know how appreciated, respected + loved you are!
xox,
Naomi
