4th of July

4th of July is one of my very favorite holidays :) It's also one of the holidays I'm the worst at taking pics of...so there's not a ton of pics. Also, I think this is the first year in like 6 years (maybe??) that we didn't get a family picture. If I don't grab one before the kids hit the pool, I have no chance haha!

We spent time at the pool, in the sun, with all the good food, and with family & friends!

floaties are their favorite!

we always have a big friend party at our friend's house &
it's one of my very favorite yearly traditions.

We squeeze in trips to Lake Michigan as often as we can. We went ON July 4th later in the afternoon but it was still insanely busy!! Next year we will find a different day to go :) The beach is the boys' happy place and we love being so close to a beautiful one!

That's how we spent our weekend--friends, family, food, water, & fun!

Summer Recap 2022

Summer of 2022 was such a GOOD one!!! We had a great mix of camps, activities, and lots of relaxing & just being together! Here's quick recap of our summer!

We started off with some camps for the boys & a kid-free vacation for Nate & I to the Northeast!

We spent lots of days swimming...

and hit up the drive in movie for the new Minions movie...

...we visited the zoo A LOT...

and dinner in Michigan followed by the beach became a regular thing.

We got to celebrate Nate's birthday...

and soaked in a full day at the fair with animals, food, rides, face painting, and more food...

no shortage of personality in this family 😜

and we went to a few South Bend Cubs games too, complete with fireworks :)

and of course celebrated the 4th of July with friends & family!

we spent time on the boat & tubing...

my sweet boy :)

and spent a week in Wisconsin with family!

We had a few big milestones like Maddox losing his first tooth!!!

and Kendry cutting his curls :)

and we visited just about every park we could find so the boys could run wild ;)

Summer 2022 was such a good one! I really just soaked in lots of time with my 3 very favorite boys!

Now that it's September 1st, I'm ready to get the pumpkins out! :) It makes me happy, so I decorate early. #sorrynotsorry

It's fall in our world!!!

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July weekend!!! July 4th is my 2nd favorite holiday. I love the weather, the friends, the family, the fireworks, the food, the pool, the boat, the late nights, the long weekend of sleeping in...ALL of it!!!

We spent Friday night with friends at the boys' first drive in movie! We saw the new Minions movie and it was so CUTE! We got there early for good spots and ate lots of food & the kids ran around playing football & on the playground before the movie started at 9:45pm (like I said...late nights! haha). The kids thought it was so fun and thankfully we had perfect weather for it.

Saturday we originally planned on going up to Grand Rapids, but plans changed so we decided to hang at home and then Saturday evening we went out to dinner & then headed to Nate's parents boat to watch some fireworks on the river. This is the only picture I got- the boys wrestling on the boat 😂

Sunday we spent the entire day with friends at the pool. Our big group of college friends always celebrate the 4th together at our friends' pool.  The kids swim all day and the adults do a combination of eating, drinking, and swimming all day too.

Monday we were at my in laws all day doing pretty much the same thing as Sunday. Swimming & eating, and then we snuck in an evening boat ride.  We were planning on tubing but then it was supposed to rain so we decided not to & will have to do it later this summer!

Jacoby's idea for a pic :)

this sweet 4 year old put himself down for a nap. he climbed out of the pool, laid on the chair, pulled a towel over himself, and went to sleep 😍

I love watching these cousins together.

the captain.

We came home Monday night tired & so very happy after a weekend of summer fun & celebrating one of the very best holidays!
