This past weekend came and went SO fast!!! I'm drinking all the caffeine to get me through the day...then The Bachelor is on tonight :) It makes Mondays so much better, right? Anyways- here's a little look at our weekend.
Friday started off going to Skyzone for toddler time. Cici (Nate's mom) came with me, which was awesome because she could chase after Jacoby while I had Maddox strapped to me :) Skyzone just came in a couple months ago and toddler time is pretty much the perfect thing for getting energy out of toddlers in the dead of winter haha.
After Skyzone and lunch- the boy and I spent 2 hours (!!!) at the doctor for Maddox. After getting a script for some antibiotics and knowing he didn't feel well, we decided to order in some food and just hang out as a family.
Saturday morning Nate went to work for a few hours while the boys and I got up and ready. When Nate got home- we loaded up to head to Chicago. Nate is a huge (understatement, actually) Bulls fan and we love going to games! We had season tickets a few years ago but just don't get there as much with 2 little ones. So we made the trip, dropped Maddox off to spend a few hours with Eric and Amanda at their Chicago apartment, and took just Jacoby to the game. We figured it'd be too loud for Maddox and he wouldn't enjoy it--also this way we could enjoy it a bit more instead of having to entertain 2 babes :) Some day we'll take both boys and it'll be so fun!
Jacoby was completely awestruck and sat still just staring at it all for the longest time. I couldn't even get him to look at me or the camera.
He snacked on a pretzel covered in caramel, then dipped in chocolate, then covered in sprinkles. It took him until most of the way through the 3rd quarter to finish it ;)
It was such a fun night and I can't wait to continue going with our kids as they grow up.
We went back to Eric and Amanda's and hung out for a little bit, then left for home and got home around midnight.
Sunday morning I left Nate with the boys and headed down to Indianapolis with my sisters and mom to celebrate Josh (my brother) and his wife's little one that is due in early March. I'm so excited for another niece/nephew!!
We drove 3 hours there, were at the shower and then headed back! We got home around 8pm, just in enough time for me to help put the boys down and eat pizza for dinner at 9:30!
It was a busy weekend filled with memories and LOTS of time on the road.
Our Monday has consisted of grocery shopping, cleaning out the fridge, vacuuming, and now blogging. You know--normal Monday routine stuff!!
Here's to a great week :)
xox,
Naomi
