The past few weeks around here have been dreary. Living in Northern Indiana, we usually have tons of snow right now-- a perk to a lot of snow is nice because you can PLAY in it! Instead of lots of snow to play in, it's been semi-warm but still chilly...and rainy, gray + windy. Basically terrible weather to be outside.
SO I've tried to find new things to check out and do with the boys. There's a train museum about 20 minutes from us, so I decided to take both boys by myself the other day. It was a BLAST...and we were the only ones there ;) I wouldn't say it's a state of the art museum, but it was right up Jacoby's alley and was just big enough to have lots to explore without being too overwhelming for me to be there with both boys by myself.
Here's a few pictures of our day...
He found a bunch of old trucks to obsess over too :)
They had a few trains we could go inside of. We went inside one that was super old and really small, but Jacoby loved it. As we were walking out of the train-- I told him to wait a minute so I could grab my bag, he made a dash for it (2 year olds, right?) and I quickly jumped to try to get him aaaaaand I smashed Maddox's forehead on the metal seat in the plane. #momfail #secondchildproblems Maddox is already super tough and hardly phased by things...I wonder why? ;)
The best we could get with us 3
Nate texted me and said he was bummed that he wasn't able to be there (why does work always gets in the way??)-- so it looks like we'll be taking another trip as a whole family soon.
I LOVE being able to spend my days with these boys.
Oh, and tomorrow is Friday. Woohoo :)
xox,
Naomi
