Year in Review: 2017

It's time for my Year in Review! I almost forgot about this post because it feels like I just did it.  Time flies some times ;) 

Here's a look at 2017 in our world:

January

We took Jacoby to his first Bulls game 💓

We celebrated at my sister-in-law's baby shower ;) 

I snuck in lots of baby snuggles...

and we visited the train museum!

February 

Nate & I spent a quick weekend away in Michigan with some of our bests.

I celebrated the big 3-0!

We attempted potty training for the first time... #notmystrongsuit

and we took walks in the abnormally warm weather!

March

We spent some cold days roaming the aisles of Target...

and playing with our cousins at McDonald's!

The boys enjoyed some fresh air and time on the swingset...

and we threw a surprise going away party for our sweet friends!

April

We started off April in Hilton Head, South Carolina for vacation...

and the rest of April was full of celebrating...starting out with celebrating Maddox turning ONE

and ending with celebrating Easter with family!

May

We celebrated Mother's Day in Chicago...

and spent Memorial Day in Nashville for a family wedding + weekend vacation :) 

I also have to post this video because his expressions and enthusiasm are my favorite! We went to the zoo and he was telling daddy all about our trip.

June

We spent lots of time playing outside and in the pool...

we took swim lessons that weren't our favorite ;) 

went on bike rides

and spent a weekend at the lake with some of our favorite people!

We ended the month celebrating Father's Day for the best daddy!

July

Mommy snapped one of daddy's very favorite pictures of the boys!

We went to the fair (it was HOT!)

celebrated daddy's birthday...

visited the beach...

and celebrated 4th of July with family, friends, swimming + lots of food!

August

Ali and I threw a shower for Steph + baby Stella!

Zoo trips + picnic lunches became a weekly thing...

We took a weekend trip to Chicago...

spent a day in Michigan at the beach + the Curious Kids Museum

and spent time learning to drive 😉

We also spent lots of days outside with our cousins...

and at the end of the month we had some family from Cali visit us and it was SO FUN!!!

September

We started out with getting a new sister...

and spent some family time together...

before Nate & I headed out to GREECE! 

We had the most amazing trip + celebrated our anniversary with a sunset dinner in Santorini!

October

We started out the month with a cardiologist appointment in Indy for Maddox...

then Amanda + I went on a quick weekend trip to Boston and had SO MUCH FUN!

we did all things "October" like pumpkin patches...

and celebrated Halloween with our little ghosts!

November

We soaked up as much time outside as we could in November...

Jacoby visited the dentist for the first time and loved it...

and we announced on Thanksgiving that baby carp #3 is on the way!!!  It was the BEST way to start the holiday season :) 

December

we looked at Christmas lights while drinking hot cocoa...

snapped a few pics in matching jammies by the tree...

played in the beautiful snow...

and celebrated Christmas with family!

We rang in 2018 with some of our best friends and the boys even made it till midnight!

2017...thanks for the best year yet.

2018...we can't WAIT to meet our final addition and all the other things you hold!
