Weekend Recap

Weekend recap on a Wednesday, because it's just that kind of week ;) 

Friday

Friday I watched my nephews for a few hours and all of the boys (her 3 boys, my 2 boys!) had so much fun.  Maddox is my shy kid and won't go to just anyone, but he was practically begging for Leo to hold him. Leo is the sweetest with him!

Friday evening we headed out to SB Cubs game.  Nate's parents' company had their company outing and we got to tag along.  They had a suite..didn't even know that existed at a minor league bball field... 

 We love the SB Cubs games...they've revamped it and have lots of fun stuff for kids... splash pad, huge blow up slides, bubble machine, etc.  The perfect way to spend a Friday night!

Saturday

It was a slow start to Saturday.

then I had a shower to celebrate my sweet friend and her soon to arrive baby boy :)  Just realized I'm the only brunette in the picture...haha!

After the shower, we all rested and then after naps I randomly said "Nate, why don't we just go up to St. Joe for the evening?"

So that's what we did.  Who says you can't be spontaneous with kids? ;) 

We had SUCH a fun evening just us 4!  We grabbed dinner outside, then walked to the beach and let the boys play in the sand, dip their toes in the water and play on the slides. 

Then we walked back, checked out the boats + got ice cream before heading home.

I know to some, northern Indiana is boringggg...but having a beach 45 min away is definitely a perk ;) 

Sunday

Sunday the boys slept in + we didn't set an alarm.  So we skipped church (whoops), got brunch together and then I had a bridal shower for my soon to be sister ;) AND somehow didn't get a single picture! ugh.

Sunday evening we celebrated Nate's bday at dinner with my family

and then once the boys were in bed, we watched Shooter.  Because it's SO GOOD.  If you haven't watched it, do it.  Thanks for the rec, Steph ;) 

That was our weekend and I can't believe we're 1/2 way through the week. Yay!
