Life Lately {New Home Edition}

Life lately has been all kinds of busy...

I just wanted to get a few thoughts/feelings out and wanted to recap the past month and what all has been going on. It's lengthy, wordy, and probably doesn't interest anyone. But it's been life and I wanted to make sure that I documented it. 

We ended up buying a new house and moved in on April 18th!

We got settled on Friday (Good Friday), had Maddox's birthday party on Saturday, Easter on Sunday, and left for vacation on Monday. 

We got back from vacation and it was a little bit weird to come "home" to a place that didn't really feel like home.  It wasn't what we knew and things were everywhere...so on top of vacation laundry for a family of 5, our stuff was everywhere.  

Monday we got up, Coby had crazy hair day at school and then I spent the rest of the day running errands (cleaned up our old house), grocery shopped, picked up Coby, picked up Benny from my mom's house (thanks mom), fed the kids a quick late lunch, then dropped groceries off at home, then we had the closing for our old house at 4pm.  Nate worked late and I spent the evening putting 3 loads of laundry away and getting the kids bathed & in bed, then going through our mail, finally getting Maddox's 3 year blog post up, & getting things in line for the rest of the week.

THANKFULLY...I'm finally feeling much more settled--there are still a few boxes to unpack with decor, getting a couch & tv for our basement, and setting up the office, a few other random things to get sorted out, but other than that things are mostly settled. And praise the Lord I'm caught up on laundry!! #allthemamassaidamen

Life is busy but SO SO GOOD.

I don't take it for granted and thank the Lord for the ways he has provided a new home for us. Moving is bittersweet...our "old" house is the one we brought all of our babies home to.  I did a last walk through and took a video for Nate (since he was at work) and just chatted about the memories.  Not gonna lie..it made us both cry.  

I remember getting rooms ready for each of the 3 boys. 

I remember bringing Kendry home and having our family of 5 pictures taken in that house.  

I remember Nate putting the playset up for the kids.  

I remember Maddox getting stitches from tripping & falling into our cabinets.  

I remember Kendry messing with the vent registers on the floor...and always crawling to Benny's water bowl.

I remember Jacoby's first bath...and envisioning what it'd be like to have 2 in the tub...then 3 in the tub...and then I remember all of my dreams coming true when they all 3 bathed together in that tub, having so much fun.  

I remember burying Wiley.  And then getting our Benny boy.

 I remember our New Years Eve party with all of our friends about 4 years ago (Jacoby was a baby).

I remember our 1/2 birthday bash for Steph, Jared, & I...with a blow up water slide.

I remember having Eric & Amanda's rehearsal dinner in our backyard.

I remember all the birthday parties...

and sending Jacoby off to preschool from this house!

 and welcoming home all 3 of our babies. 

We went from just Nate, Naomi & Wiley to Nate, Naomi, Jacoby, Maddox, Kendry + Benny. Family of 5 + dog!

Mannnn...the memories.  

In the new house...there's lots of fun to be had, and lots of crazy stories to be told in this new home too.  I LOVE this house...and can't wait for the memories. I hope it blesses us as much as the other one did.
