North Pole Breakfast 2017

I'm all about the Christmas season and doing as many fun "Christmas-themed" activities we can! Especially as our boys get older, I know some of the silly traditions we do will really start to be fun for them. Jacoby was PUMPED when he came downstairs to this!  I read about Andrea's North Pole Breakfast for her kids and thought "now that's something I can do easily!".

I think this is something that anyone can do...you can keep it as simple as you'd like, or you can go all out! I'm in the middle where I'm SO FAR from creative, but can pull a few things together that makes the boys LOVE it!  Along with the breakfast, we got Shrek the Halls (the cutest little 20 min video) and The Story of Christmas book.  I love this book because it puts the Christmas story into cute pictures and is worded well for little ones! It's a good way for us to remember the true meaning of Christmas. AND I had to get them some matching Christmas jammies because I can't help myself 😉

North Pole Breakfast- the start of a new tradition! I tried to do it on the first Saturday of December but life got busy and I forgot to pick up the supplies #storyofmylife so I did it on Sunday!  Some people use this for when their "Elf on the Shelf" comes, but we don't do that (yet!) so I thought it would just be a fun way to usher in December and the Christmas season.  This is also a really big deal in this house because I never (and I mean truly never) make breakfast for my family.  This year, because time got away from me...I picked up all of the goodies from the store but going forward would love to make our favorite breakfast casserole as well. It's Nate's FAVORITE, and my boys eat it up too!

I kept it simple with paper plates, napkins, and plastic silverware...because it made clean up a breeze :) Also, I bought a cheap vinyl tablecloth and it really made it feel more festive and it also made clean up a breeze #amen. You could totally go bigger and do a fancy breakfast, but for my 3 and 1 year old...this was the best way to do it!

I hope you find fun ways to get inspired to bring a little holiday into your life too! It's as easy as throwing a {sugar-filled} breakfast on the table! HA.

Happy December...Tis the Season!!!

xox,

Naomi
