Life lately is...
crazy.
chaotic.
silly.
exhausting.
fun.
fun.
challenging.
...and so incredible.
We knew we were in for all of this when we planned on having our first 2 kids close together. I am beyond blessed in that we were able to have them close together, and I'm thrilled that they are brothers and will {hopefully} always have an inseparable bond.
The first day I was by myself with both kids started off rough with both kids crying by 8:30am, Jacoby falling on his head (boys...), and Maddox wanting to be held the entire day.
But by nap time, we all 3 got a nap. Not only did I get a nap, but also a shower. WHAT?!? So that's a momma win, right?
Every day it gets easier to know how to handle them both, we figure each other out more, and we learn to just roll with it.
That's my motto now a days... "Roll with it". Kids are crazy? That's life. Both babies crying? Laugh because what else can you do? Tantrums in public? People can look, that's ok :)
Here's a few snapshots from our life lately. We've ventured out multiple times and I've reminded myself to get Maddox used to being out + about, just like Jacoby has always been.
But I have yet to attempt to conquer the grocery store with both babies by myself.
There will come a time (probably next week...haha), but not yet. When my momma or MIL comes over, I take the chance to run to Target with just one of my babes :) One on one time is good for the soul anyway!
Target run with my first ;)
He's mastered snuggling.
Zoo day with both my babies.
One looks unimpressed with the lions, the other slept the whole time ;)
Bath time. They enjoy it more than these pictures show haha.
Spending lots of time outside, because fresh air is good for all of us!
Morning walks are one of my favorite parts of the day. It's generally late morning and I get both babies out and they both LOVE the walk, and I get some fresh air, exercise + a few minutes of quiet!
I love this life I live. Even when both babies are awake screaming at 2 a.m. {teething Jacoby, because he never wakes up like that...}, and Nate and I just look at each other and say "this is fun" :)
What a wild ride, and it's only the start. My family of 4!
