Once we found out Maddox was a boy...my mind went in a million different places for what I wanted for a nursery. Thanks to Pinterest, my life was made simple. I looked through A LOT of different baby boy nurseries and many of them were just not quite my style.
But then I found this sweet lady's blog and her pictures of her son's nursery. I saw the picture below and it captured everything I wanted in his nursery.
I loved the simplicity + cleanliness and that it looked cozy but not too "baby-ish". So my mind was set on this "woodsy" theme {although not your typical antlers-on-the-wall type of woodsy theme} Because let's be real-- Nate & I are FAR from woodsy/lodgey. We are city folk.
So based on this picture, we created a nursery for our sweet Maddox. We changed a few things, like the bedding and wall color, but overall it is very similar. Thank you Pinterest and Lindsay for helping me see exactly what I wanted.
The wall decals were something that I LOVED in Lindsay's nursery, BUT I wanted something a little different--and she mentioned that hers weren't super easy to put up. So I made it my mission to find what I wanted, and it was my hope that they would be easy to put on. You can even ask Nate--these were super easy to put on and they look even better in person than they do in the pictures! I think they really add a lot to the room :) These were customized for the size/color/and type of tree I wanted and I couldn't be happier with the way they look.
The "Maddox" sign is my favorite thing in his room. I knew exactly what I wanted and Amanda from WoodenThatBeSomethin on Etsy made it happen. She customized it to exactly how I envisioned it, had a good price, and was SO nice to send me pictures of it before she shipped it! If you need a custom wood sign done...check her out, ya'll!
My girl Becca, who runs Grabner Graphics on Etsy, made a few prints for his room--but they haven't been hung yet. Mainly because Nate & I are in disagreement for where they should go ;) haha. So here are the prints--ready to be hung!
Habakkuk 3:19 is the bible verse we picked for his room. We have one for Jacoby's too.
Nursery is done! Now we just need Maddox here to make it complete :)
