12 MONTHS
Well, here we are.
The last monthly update for our last baby.
It's the weirdest feeling to realize I'll never have a "baby"anymore... I think you're technically a toddler at 1 year old??? You're still SO my baby and probably will always be. #sorrynotsorry
Here's a little bit about you, my littlest love...

Months 7-12
Favorites: being held, pulling yourself up on everythingggg, your paci, your crib, baths & any kind of water, all food, playing peek a boo, taking power naps in the car, and your whole family. You'll go to anyone but mama, dada, coby & maddox are your jam.
Not-So-Favorites: being put down when you're tired, being told "no", and being alone.
EAT
You've been breastfed the whole first year and now that you're one I've tried transitioning you to whole milk. You don't mind it out of a straw cup but have completely refused the bottle, which is totally fine with me. I'm in the process of weaning but I'm not in rush :)
You love all food but mac & cheese, peas, peaches, pears, bananas, and applesauce pouches are your favorites.
You're a tiny little peanut even with everything that you eat!
SLEEP
You've always been the best sleeper and you were sleeping through the night but ever since we got back from vacation about a month ago, you've been waking up once a night. Your room is right above ours so I hear you cry even if I turn the monitor off....sooo I generally just nurse you back to sleep. I'm hoping to cut out this habit asap.
You take a morning nap usually in your car seat when we are out and about and then you take a 2-2.5 hour afternoon nap in your crib!
PLAY
It's easy to forget the different stages babies go through but the age you're at right now is SO MUCH fun. You are happy almost all of the time (you currently have a double ear infection and I had no idea because you're always happy), you entertain yourself easily by crawling around and playing with your toys, you and your brothers play games in the car to make each other laugh (and it's my FAVORITE), you can eat big boy food without me having to carry extra food, you sleep well almost anywhere...must I go on? Oh, and you can't talk back/argue yet. That's like GOLD! haha.
You have 6 teeth (4 on the top, 2 on the bottom).
You army crawl like crazy and sometimes get up on your knees & hands. Pull yourself up on everything and walk around stuff but you have no interest in walking.
Your favorite song is "If you're happy and you know it"
Your favorite book is "Curious George at the Zoo" (it's a touch & feel book and you love it)
Your favorite person is mama. But when daddy walks in from work, you speed crawl to him!!!
You belly laugh at Jacoby and Maddox in the car and it's the sweetest sound.
You know when you're doing something naughty and I'll say "Kendryyyyy...." and you just look back smile & laugh. HAHA.
You have absolutely no interest in TV.
It's funny because everyone who knows you well says that you look different from your brothers. But when we are in public, people tell us often "WOW. They all 3 look so much alike, there is NO denying they are siblings!" I see some of Coby & some of Maddox in you...and yet you're Kendry. The perfect little caboose to this crazy train!
You have WAY more hair than any of your brothers did at this age. You also have the cutest curls in the back (just LOOK at them!) and I don't think I'll ever cut them. Mullet or not.. I love them.
You are super ticklish.
You can be so tolerant of noises and chaos, but if someone gets too pushy with you...you let us know with a shriek.
You say "mama", "dada", and "mahmah" (more)
When we ask you what a cow says, you push your lips together and say "mmmmmoooooooo" 😊
You love to splash in the tub and make a big, wet mess! I think you're gonna love the pool this summer too!

You have been the sweetest little blessing. It is not lost on me how truly precious you are. From your tight hugs around my neck, to the speed crawls to daddy, and giggles for your brothers...you are the baby who we all love to dote on. You have been the easiest baby and I'm convinced it's God reminding me how special you are to me and to Him. There's always a lot of chaos, but you are the one who gives me a sweet smile amidst the chaos to remind me that I am exactly the mama you need. How lucky am I to be the one that gets a front row seat to watching you become YOU? I can't wait to watch you grow! Thank you for bringing pure JOY to our lives. I pray you know just how loved + adored you are. I'm forever in your corner and I'll forever love you.

Kendry Boo,
I can’t believe you are one year old my little punky. You are our family’s little peanut, and we could not love you any more than we do. I just told someone the other day that it doesn’t matter what is going on in life, there is nothing that your smile can’t cheer up. If I only had one word to describe you it would be ‘joy.’ It is the perfect word for you in a couple ways: first, you always have a smile on your face. You see fun and joy in everything. And second, you just bring joy to every person that you see. You have the sweetest personality. You clap when you think something is awesome and it makes me laugh every time because of how cute it is / you are.
After Maddox was born, I told your mommy that I didn’t think I was going to want to have any more kids. But after a little time passed, she talked me in to one more baby (you!!). And I tell her all the time that I’m so glad she talked me into it. Because I cannot imagine our family or my life without you in it. Your brothers adore you, and love to compete for your attention. And you love to laugh and clap at them. And it makes my heart swell with love.
I can definitely tell that Mommy is going to want to baby you. But I promise I won’t let her baby you too much. I’ll let you be a big boy just like your brothers . I really don’t want to fast forward time, but at the same time, I do look forward to watching you and your brothers grow closer and just be buddies. Right now Jacoby and Maddox do everything together, and get sad when they aren’t with each other. And I look forward to watching you join their group! But you have to promise to not conspire against mommy and me too much with them!
There are so many things I love about you that I don’t have enough time to write about them all, so I’m just going to list some of them: your smile, your clapping, your curls (OMG!), when you crawl to come give me kisses when I get home from work, your belly laugh, how little you are, your hugs, your army crawl (you’re so fast at it!), your snuggles.
I love you so much little boy. You’ll always be my baby. I promise that I’ll always be there for you. Whatever you need, I will do my best to provide for you.
