Halloween 2018

Halloween 2018 might be one of my favorites yet!!!  The boys picked out their costumes... and just so happened to coordinate with Catboy and Gekko from PJ Masks.  Oh PJ Masks. We watch that show just about every.single.day. They love it and I LOVED that they picked costumes that went together.  I'll celebrate their "matchy-ness" as long as they'll let me!

...and Kendry was a kangaroo because he's the 3rd baby and hand me downs are the name of the game until he has an opinion 😉

On the Friday before Halloween we hit up our downtown area for some trick or treating with Matt, Abby + Harper.  The boys asked me to dress up as Owlette (the 3rd PJ Mask) but I couldn't find one to fit an adult that wasn't more than I wanted to spend), so I ended up buying a witch hat headband at the dollar store.  The boys were THRILLED and then asked Nate what he was going to be.  He quickly replied "How about a baseball player? And he put on a baseball jersey and a hat" haha

We did this last year too but it was SO cold last year that we didn't last long.  This year the weather was perfect, about 55 and no rain or wind.  After we got some candy (not a ton, which I'm thankful for because the haul from actual Halloween is a ton!), we ate dinner downtown and then headed home.

On Halloween, I dropped Jacoby off late to preschool. Major mom fail story. They had no school on Monday because of fall break so I just was completely off schedule and was sitting on the couch, feeding Kendry while the boys played when I looked at my clock and thought "OH NO. Jacoby was supposed to be at preschool 15 minutes ago".  He had been looking forward to that day because they were painting pumpkins.  So I had him get dressed, I threw on clothes, put Maddox + Kendry in the car without shoes and or clean diapers and rushed Jacoby to school.  I felt so bad, but he still got to paint his pumpkin and enjoy all the fun Halloween fun at school.

Halloween night, both of my sisters and their families, along with a couple friends, Nate's mom and my mom all came over to trick or treat in our subdivision.  After 2 hours and FULL buckets, we came back to our house where I had made THIS crockpot chili for us all to eat.  Our trick or treating is so early that it's hard to eat beforehand, but I also don't want the kiddos to have stomachaches from all the candy.  So we usually let them eat a little while trick or treating, then eat dinner and then have one more before calling it a night.

It was so fun to trick or treat with family and friends.  My boys LOVED spending it with their cousins and for some reason this year, both Jacoby + Maddox seemed so BIG.  They walked/ran up to the houses all by themselves, said "trick or treat" or "happy halloween" and said their thank yous after getting their candy.  Thankfully I had Kendry strapped to me to remind me that at least one of our babies is still LITTLE :)

I'm soaking in this beautiful life I have been given with these little boys + Nate who bring me so much JOY.  Hoping your Halloween was just as beautiful.

Now for the REAL fun...I'm holding off on Christmas decorations for another 2 weeks (I think!) butttttt Happy Holidays!!!

xox,

Naomi
